In 2011, The Dreaming: Australia’s International Indigenous Festival stood proudly alongside the Woodford Folk Festival, offering a cultural tasting plate of world class Indigenous dance, music, visual arts, theatre and literature over six days.
By day, the Dreaming was a central hub for speakers, arts and craft workshops, at the Dreaming Gallery, BLAKdramatics theatre and dance performances, accented with the diverse sounds of some of our finest musical talents. By night the village atmosphere transformed into a cultural pleasure-dome. Expect the unexpected.
Our Dreaming precinct re-shaped the southeastern curve of the festival layout to create an integrated thoroughfare within Woodford Folk Festival programme. Not limited to this, we featured content across venues and events, including sunset performances at the ceremony ground.
